More importantly, my kids, who have attended many Bar/Bat Mitzvahs this year with DJs and local bands were thrilled. Their friends did not get off the dance floor with the adults and told them at school that your band was "awesome!" The two dancers that also attended were very enthusiastic and very respectful toward the kids. Plus, they did a great job keeping 71 kids in their seats during the candle-lighting. The idea of giving out prizes to the loudest cheers to the honorees coming up for the candle-lighting was extremely clever! Furthermore, you know how uptight I was about finding ENCORE on the internet. I could not sleep the week before, thinking that I hired a band which I never heard at a party. N.W. 11/14/02 Dear Tony, Heidi and Encore, We just wanted to thank you so very much for making our wedding a special and perfect event for the beginning of our life together. You and the band put on an incredible show that I know everyone appreciated. Both of us are former musicians and have a pretty discriminating ear and eye for entertainment. Your presentation was truly great. Vanessa and I had rehearsed our first dance together, and at the advice of our dance instructor, had the band play a CD of our wedding song because we were unsure how Encore would play the song. It was a popular, classic song, and with so many versions of it available, we were really nervous that any change would confuse us. The band was absolutely understanding and accommodated us without hesitation. The second song of the night was also very special to us. (A popular 70's song called, "Biggest Part of Me" by Ambrosia, pretty challenging for any group of musicians!) It also happened to be the second song on the CD that I gave to Tony to play. We decided we did want Encore to perform this song, but I warned Tony that it came up quick on the CD, so be ready to turn it off after our first song was over. He said "no sweat" and went on as the professionals he and the rest of the band were. Well, Vanessa and I had our first dance, and it went off well, and right on the next down beat, Ambrosia's "Biggest Part of Me" came on!! I had my back to the band and thought to myself, "Oh no, Tony didn't turn off the CD in time, and this was the recording I had given him!" As I turned, dancing with my new bride, I came to notice that it was in fact the band and NOT the CD playing the song. I was completely BLOWN AWAY! I realized that they were the musicians I wished I could be! The rest of the evening was the same! Aside from being the consummate professionals that they all are, you can just tell they absolutely love to do what they do and that they have a deep sense of commitment to their clients and audience, which is why the music sounds so good. It was an incredible evening and we again have Encore to thank for making it so special. They sounded amazing, they were ultimately professional and accommodating and just wanted to do anything to make our day special. We would recommend Encore without hesitation for any event and would love to see them at any public function. I would say we have become devout fans!
